After building a discography of collaborations that includes inidie hip-hop heavyweights Cannibal Ox, Reks, LuckyIAm (Living Legends), Roc Marciano, Open Mike Eagle, billy woods, and Bad Rabbits, among others, Paul Womack, aka Willie Green, has taken the reins on projects from Japan to the Czech Republic and beyond. His recent successes have included billy woods’ critically acclaimed History Will Absolve Me, with one respected reviewer admitting, “I feel the beats on this album are so dope that the producers definitely need their credit,” and PremRock’s Mark’s Wild Years, named by various blogs and podcasts as one of the Top Ten hip-hop albums of 2012.
Following a successful year both personally (Green was married in May, 2012) as well as behind the boards for other artists (landing him a spot on Kevin Nottingham’s list of Top Producers of 2012), Green has now poured his focus and inspiration into his first full length solo album in almost three years. We Live In The Future was released on March 19 and is available digitally under Fake
Four Distro. With dance/pop infused beats that lend themselves more to block parties and clubs than ciphers and hip-hop battles; for Green, it’s an album to bring people together and give them something to dance to.
